Boroscopic lenses are used to inspect objects from the inside, e.g. engine parts, containers. Observation is made by inserting the lens inside the object. They are used in applications where defects can be observed only from the inside, and the dimensions of the object do not allow the camera to be inserted. Catadioptric structure provides greater accuracy and resolution than fiber optic probes. In addition, it provides a 360° omnidirectional image.

In contrast to the "pin hole" optics with which only flat objects can be observed, with the help of Opto Engineering lenses for inspection of holes one can simultaneously observe the side surfaces and the bottom. Thanks to the large viewing angle (> 82 °) and the innovative optical design, 'Hole inspection' lenses will be suitable for observing objects with a wide range of dimensions. Hole inspection lenses are used to observe objects such as cylinders, cans, bottles and other oblong-shaped objects.

Opto Engineering lenses from the Micro-Poly View series are designed to allow full observation and measurement of objects with dimensions of 1-10mm, such as electronic components, elements of micromechanics. 6 views were obtained thanks to six mirrors placed in front of the telecentric lens. The view of the top surface of the object is located centrally in the field of view. Specular images have the same magnification and sharpness as the image in the centre of the frame. All views can be used for measurement purposes. The lens also has an illuminator suitable for this type of observation.
