Boroscopic lenses are used to inspect objects from the inside, e.g. engine parts, containers. Observation is made by inserting the lens inside the object. They are used in applications where defects can be observed only from the inside, and the dimensions of the object do not allow the camera to be inserted. Catadioptric structure provides greater accuracy and resolution than fiber optic probes. In addition, it provides a 360° omnidirectional image.
