Euresys announces compatibility of the Coaxlink frame grabbers with AMD’s DirectGMA technology

Exposing graphic memory to any device has always been the goal for applications looking to have low latency communication of data between any device and the GPU.

Using AMD’s DirectGMA, the Coaxlink cards from Euresys can now directly transfer image data to GPU memory. DirectGMA eliminates unnecessary system memory copies, dramatically lowers CPU overhead, and reduces latency, resulting in significant performance improvements in data transfer times for applications using the AMD FireProTM W5x00 and above and for all AMD FireProTM S series products.

DirectGMA compatibility is available from Coaxlink Driver revision 4.5. A sample program showing how to use this feature is available in the installation package.
