New ace models – proven technology: ace USB 3.0 cameras now available with Sony’s ICX414 CCD sensor

Recently joined Basler’s program: acA645-100um and acA645-100uc with the Sony ICX414, the first ace USB 3.0 model with a 1/2″ sensor in VGA resolution.

Series production of the new ace USB 3.0 models with the Sony ICX414 CCD sensor kicked off in April 2015. With the popular Sony ICX414 CCD sensor already available for ace GigE models, Basler’s now integrated a VGA sensor with an optical format of 1/2″ into an ace USB 3.0 model for the first time. The new USB 3.0 models take advantage of USB 3.0’s large bandwidth to deliver complete USB3 Vision compatibility and 100 fps at VGA resolution.

With their 1/2″ optical format and VGA resolution the new ace models are an optimal choice to replace Basler’s A601f. The switch from older and larger camera models using that sensor to a modern ace class is also easy and attractive for many applications.

The new Basler ace models offer Basler’s familiar level of strong image quality and high frame rates, as well as numerous helpful firmware features such as the sequencer. Taking the entire package together – impressive characteristics and unbeatable price/performance ratio – it is outstandingly well suited for applications in medical technology, factory automatic, robotics and more.
