New C-mount cameras with a 1:1 sensor and high resolution

Basler AG has launched new cameras of the Basler ace 2V series featuring a 1.1” format sensor

The a2A5060-35cm cameras boast exceptional technical specifications. At a resolution of 25MP, they allow for an acquisition rate of 35 frames per second (35 fps). These are Area Scan cameras with a Global Shutter, operating in the visible spectrum and providing a monochrome image. The CoaXPress (CXP-12) interface is used for image transmission. Furthermore, the E2525A sensor implemented in these cameras has a better signal-to-noise ratio compared to previously used square sensors.

Where can such cameras be used?

Cameras with a square sensor provide a better match between the area “seen” by the lens and the area seen by the camera. This can be applied, for example, in optical metrological analyses. Furthermore, these cameras are perfectly suited for optical inspection in areas such as semiconductor manufacturing, display inspection (pixel control), and automated optical inspection processes.
