Open eVision 2.0 is now available
Euresys presented a new version of the Open eVision application. In addition to significant improvements and enhancements, the most important change is the introduction of a new library, EasyOCR2. The new version of software provides backward compatibility with other Euresys systems.
EasyOCR2 – Character Recognition library
With the new library many elements have been improved. The most important of these are:
- optimized for reading short texts such as part numbers, serial numbers, expiry dates, lot codes, …
- innovative segmentation algorithm to automatically locate text in the image based on expected character size and text topology,
- full support for text rotation (360 degrees),
- character type specification to improve recognition,
- able to read severely degraded characters: support for character fragmentation and uneven lighting,
- assisted learning of character database from sample images,
- character database management: adding, removing characters.
With the new software version, the scope of the license changed. More informations about the software and licenses are available on the Euresys website.
